Peplink InTouch: Everything You Need to Know

Peplink InTouch: Everything You Need to Know

What Is InTouch?

InTouch is a cutting-edge alternative to building a second network for Out of Band Management (OOBM). With this technology, it is possible connect a single Peplink router to a network and reach any device on that network to view, configure, and troubleshoot remotely.

What Are the Advantages of Using InTouch?

Minimal Setup

With InTouch, there is no need for VPNs, Servers, or extra software. Engineers do not need to set up a second network, and there is no maintenance required for additional infrastructure or software.

Ironclad Security

InTouch never requires security compromises like Public IPs or inbound access through firewalls.

Significant Cost Savings

InTouch makes it unnecessary to build a second network for OOBM. The cost of purchasing another set of enterprise routers and leased lines or VPNs can be avoided altogether. Ongoing operational costs are also reduced, since it is not necessary to manage or maintain that additional infrastructure or software.

What is required to use InTouch?

To enable InTouch, all that is needed is a Peplink device with an active InControl 2 license and SpeedFusion Connect Protect plan. Both InControl 2 and SpeedFusion Connect Protect are now included with all Peplink Care Plans. So, as long as the device has an active PrimeCare or EssentialCare subscription, InTouch is ready to use.
